In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic the Trafford Co-ordination Centre (TCC) clinical service has been discontinued. This is as a result of the nurses in the TCC being asked to support direct clinical practice as part of the NHS response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The service will not return as our contract with Trafford CCG ends on 30 June 2020. The CCG will be working on new ways of coordinating patient’s health and social care services once the current situation is over.
All patients enrolled on the care co-ordination service have received a letter informing them of the decision to close the service and offered advice on what to do should they feel unwell in relation to COVID-19, and other health issues.
GPs have been informed regarding which of their patients have received support from the TCC.
The TCC will continue to support GP practices in the processing of patient referrals until the end of the contract, at which point it will become the responsibility of GP practices.
